Man and Woman of faith
We do have mighty man and woman of faith but the problem is that they are hiding under the table. They are not releasing their potential and God given power. When you look to Judges 6: 11-12 we find a man of faith who was hiding in a winepress and he was just doing his small business which is to prepare food, by other words he was just making a living. He did not want to disturb anyone and he did not want any disturbance, he just wanted to live a quite live from the pressure of the Midianites. Then all of a sudden his quiteness was disturbed by the appearance of the Angel of the Lord, and the angel address him as a Might Warrior. But Gideon interrupted the angel and said i am not a might man of faith live me alone under my table. He said how can you call me a mighty man? how can you tell me to go and save the nation of Israel? dont you know that our nation is too weak and we are oppresored? dont you know that the Lord has abandoned us? dont you know that i come from a weak tribe and a family of losers? Dont you know that i am the biggest faulire in my family? Leave me a alone please.!!!! Maybe 2008 you felt like that, you felt hopeless and abandoned by God you felt like God cant use you, you felt weak and limited in serving Him.
1. Maybe 2008 you had a grasshopper mentality like the spies in Numbers 13 you felt like you are facing the gaints that cant be overcomed, you looked at the height and hardness of the walls of your Canaan.
2. Maybe 2008 you were paralized with fear Like Gideon in Judges 6 you felt hopeless and powerless.
3. Maybe you did not care about any spiritual issues in your life you were worried about the financial problems that you stopped praying and serving the Lord.
4. Maybe you did not want to fight spiritually you gave up.
I would like to challenge you mighty man or woman of faith to raise up this year go in the strength that you have. Fight the spiritual battle that is ahead of you in 2009 through the power of God you will win. Fight for your brothers, sons, daughters, wives and your homes,
Nehemiah 4: 14 . Witness to people about the saving power of Jesus Christ, pray for your nation and for nations to be saved. Remember 2Corinthians 10: 5 you have weapons which are not carnal but they are strong spiritually to break down walls.
These is the year of victory, this year you dont stay in defence you must go on offence.
I would encourage you to recandle the following things in your life
1. Radical Love for your Savior, your brothers and sister in the Lord and for people without Christ, let that passion for the lost burn again in your heart.
2. Radical faith. Live your live by faith stand on the promises of God and be immovable be moved only by the word of God.
3. Radical prayer, recandle your prayer life, pray like everything depends on God.
4. Radical life, live for Christ and surrender 100% to Him. Work hard this year.
5. Practice the presence of God all the time, seek his presence and stay in His presence
6. Do not be afraid to be different. Numbers 13 :30
7. Live by the sword which is the word of God apply the word in all that you do.
1 Chronicles 12: 8 says that the mighty warrior in the army of David their faces was like of a Lion and they were fast like gazelles.
Prayer will make your face to look like of a Lion because the more you spend time with the Lion of Judah the more you will look like Him. The Holy Spirit will help you move fast. Through the Holy Spirit you can do things in one month that normally in your strength will take you 10 years.
These year it is a year of breakthrough and victory.
